Emmis Indiana Broadcasting, L.P. (d/b/a WLHK, WFNI), The Indiana
Corn Marketing Board, Ethanol Promotion Information Council and
Crystal Flash Petroleum (collectively referred to as the “Sponsors”)
have teamed up to give entrants a chance to win tickets to the 2008
Indianapolis 500 and one entrant will win the grand prize of a 2
year lease of a 2008 C6 Corvette Pace Car (the “Contest”).
This Contest is governed by these Pace Car Payoff Official Rules
("Rules"). Any individual who enters, attempts to enter
or in any way participates or attempts to participate in the Contest
(“Participant”) agrees to be bound by the terms and
conditions provided in these Rules, as well as by all interpretations
of these Rules by the Sponsors and by all other decisions of the
Sponsors which are final and binding in all matters relating to
the Contest.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
No purchase is necessary to enter or win a prize. A purchase will
not improve your chances of winning.
APPLICABLE LAW (VOID WHERE PROHIBITED):
The Contest is subject to and governed by applicable federal, state
and local laws and regulations. Participation in this Contest is
void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law.
How to Enter
#1: Each weekday from 5/5-5/16 (the “Entry Period”),
listen to 97.1 HANK FM during the 7am hour for the announcement
of the “key word of the day” and the hours the game
will be played that day. Five times each day, the “pace car
sounder” will air. When the sounder is aired, the 97th person
to text the “key word of the day” to 66993 will be qualified
to win the grand prize. Each qualifier will win two tickets to the
2008 Indianapolis 500 and a $20 gift card to Crystal Flash. There
will be 50 qualifiers from this method.
#2: Each weekday during the Entry Period, listen to 1070 The Fan
from 3pm-6pm for the commercial prompting listeners to text an entry
to 66993. From all entries received each day, one entry will be
drawn randomly to be qualified to win the grand prize. Each qualifier
will win two tickets to the 2008 Indianapolis 500 and a $20 gift
card to Crystal Flash. There will be 10 qualifiers from this method.
#3: To be automatically registered, visit any Crystal Flash location
within the Indianapolis Metro area, defined as locations within
Bartholomew, Shelby, Wabash, Owen, Hamilton, Marion, Boone, Jennings,
Hancock, Morgan, Kosciusko, and Hendricks counties, during the Entry
Period and swipe your Crystal Flash Rewards Tag. From all registrations,
14 qualifiers will be chosen at random. Each qualifier will win
two tickets to the 2008 Indianapolis 500 and a $20 gift card to
Crystal Flash.
#4: Visit www.hankfm.com to register during the Entry Period. From
all registrations, 1 qualifier will be chosen at random. The qualifier
will win two tickets to the 2008 Indianapolis 500 and a $20 gift
card to Crystal Flash.
Grand Prize Giveaway Event
• All 75 qualifiers will be invited to participate in the
grand prize drawing event on May 21, 2008.
• Each qualifier must be present to win or must make arrangements
no later than May 19, 2008 to have a delegate act as their proxy
at the grand prize drawing event. Such arrangements to be made by
coordinating with Angela Hatem with Emmis Communications, 317-971-6476.
The order of participation will be determined randomly by double-blind
drawing. During a double blind drawing, each contestant will be
asked to draw two separate numbers at random to determine the order
in which they will participate.
Upon arrival each qualifier (or confirmed rep/proxy) will sign
in with HANK-FM staff. After signing in, the qualifier will be asked
to pick a ping pong ball (or other numbered item) at random from
the tumbler. That ping pong ball will have a number written in blue
on it. That number represents the order in which they will draw
for the second time.
All qualifiers who have arrived by the predetermined time will then
be asked to line up in order based upon the blue number on their
ping pong ball, starting with number 1, 2, 3 and so on. Once in
line, one by one the contestants will return their first ping pong
ball and draw a second ping pong ball at random from the tumbler.
That ping pong ball will have a number written in red. That number
represents the order in which they will compete in the contest.
• In the determined order of participation, qualifiers will
push the “giveaway button” When the “giveaway
button” is pushed, a winning or non-winning sound will be
triggered.
• The first qualifier to trigger the “winning sound”
will win the grand prize.
• After the “winning sound” is triggered, the
contest ends and no further qualifiers will press the “giveaway
button”.
The Grand Prize
The Grand Prize is a pre-paid 24 month lease for one of the 2008
C6 Corvette parade/pace cars used by Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Executives or 500 Festival Associates board members during April
and May 2008. Within 30 days of the grand prize giveaway event,
the winner will be provided full details on the vehicle, including
model details and mileage information.
In order to accept the vehicle grand prize, the winner’s
credit rating must qualify him/her for a 24 month/24000 mile lease
from GMAC at a $36,000.00 single payment and $1500.00 security deposit.
The full amount of $37,500 to be paid by contest sponsors. If the
grand prize winner does not qualify under those terms, but does
qualify at a higher single payment and/or security deposit, he/she
can opt to pay the difference to GMAC. If winner accepts the vehicle
lease grand prize, winner must agree to all GMAC lease terms, including
mandatory insurance requirements, mileage overage penalties, etc.
In the event the winner does not qualify for the lease under the
terms outlined, and opts not to pay the difference to GMAC, the
winner can opt to accept an alternative cash prize of $18,750. Winner
has 5 business days from the time that full details are provided
to determine which prize to accept. Winner may opt for the $18,750
alternative cash prize at any time after being named grand prize
winner.
Sponsors:
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation and it's subsidiaries,
General Motors Corporation, Chevrolet Motor Division, General Motors
Acceptance Corporation and Bill Estes Chevrolet are not sponsors
of this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes sponsors are: Emmis Indiana Broadcasting,
L.P. (d/b/a WLHK, WFNI), The Indiana Corn Marketing Board, Ethanol
Promotion Information Council and Crystal Flash Petroleum.
Eligibility:
The Contest is open to legal United States residents who currently
reside Indiana and who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or
older at time of entry with a valid (limiting to Indiana contestants
only then you need to state – Indiana state driver’s
license) drivers’ license to win.
The officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents of
the Sponsors or any entity involved in the development, production,
implementation and distribution of the Contest as well as their
respective parents, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries and successor
companies. Immediate family members and those living in the same
household of any of the above are also prohibited from participating
in the Contest. “Immediate family members” includes
spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren,
whether “in-laws,” or by current or past marriage, remarriage,
adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other
persons residing at the same household location, whether or not
related All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Disclaimer of Responsibility for Entries: Sponsors are not responsible
for problems with Contest entries, including but not limited to,
entries which are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete,
illegible, or cannot be completed due to electronic or technical
difficulties, even if the problem is the result of the sole or partial
negligence of Sponsors.
False Fraudulent or Deceptive Entries or Acts: Participants who,
in the view of Sponsors, provide false, fraudulent or deceptive
entries or who engage in false, fraudulent or deceptive acts in
connection with the Contest will be disqualified and subject to
criminal prosecution.
Limit one prize per family per household. If you have been awarded
a prize from one of the contest sponsors within 30 calendar days
before the contest date, you are ineligible to win. Sponsors shall
not have any responsibility or liability whatsoever for any property
loss, damage, personal injury, or death in connection with the prizes
provided pursuant to the contest.
Conditions of Entry:
All decisions of Sponsors are final and binding. Winners are solely
responsible for payment of all applicable taxes, license, title,
and registration fees on prizes won, including without limitation
any travel or transportation costs, associated with winning the
vehicle. The winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to the
vehicle upon receipt of the vehicle.
By entering, contestant agrees and accepts these official rules.
Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winners name and/or
likeness for advertising or trade purposes without further compensation
unless prohibited by law. Winner does officially release Emmis Indiana
Broadcasting, L.P. and their affiliates and all Sponsors from any
and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for
damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained
in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.
If a selected winner in not eligible, the prize will be forfeited.
Prize is not transferable. The depiction of the vehicle in any advertising
or promotional material may not reflect the actual vale delivered
to the winner. Rules and regulations are subject to change without

Official Release:
Winners agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Emmis Indiana
Broadcasting, L.P. and their affiliates,, all Sponsors, and their
respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies from any
and all damage, injury, loss, expense, accident, delay, inconvenience,
claim, liability, or other irregularity that may be caused or contributed
to or by any person, condition or event whatsoever, beyond the direct
control of the Sponsors. Sponsors maintain no control over the personnel,
equipment, or operation of any of the entities or persons furnishing
products, services, or accommodations as part of the prize provided.
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation, Indy Racing League, and
Chevrolet are not participating sponsors of this promotion and therefore
have no liability as it relates to this promotion.
