"New Joy tries to live our mission of bringing life and faith together. Community day is one way in which we can do that,” stated Connie Thomson, Pastor of New Joy. “We view Community Day as a way to build connections between people, to have some fun together, and to share with folks the great things God is up to in our life of faith," added Pastor Thomson.

“Westfield and New Joy continue to grow. New Joy looks for ways to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the community and its partners as part of its mission to actively encourage others to experience the joy of Jesus Christ in daily life,” stated Chris Studer, Ministry Board President. “In these difficult times, it is important for the church to serve its community. This is a time for New Joy to get to know our community better and for our community to get to know New Joy better,” added Studer.

Some of the activities for community day will include: Pony rides, inflatable slides, games, face painting and free food and drinks. Representatives from the Police and Fire departments will be on hand as well as Westfield Open Doors, Indiana Blood Mobile, the Hamilton County Humane Society and the Heart & Soul Clinic. Great music will be provided throughout the day by “The Imperfects”.

New Joy’s Vision is to be a spirited community that welcomes, values, accepts and nurtures all people wherever they are in their relationship with God. New Joy worships at 8:00am and 9:45am on Sunday mornings and welcomes the entire community.

09/14/2010 Community Health Talk on Shoulder Pain

09/14/2010, 10:00am , at Banquet Room A, Monon Community Center, Carmel, IN

Community Health Talk on Shoulder Pain
Local doctor, Vivek Agrawal will be holding a community health talk (CHT) on

Even easier answer - the annual outing is for a cause near to the Indians' hearts. Mike Schneider was a member of the Indianapolis Indians front office staff for 17 seasons until his sudden passing at age 42 in August 2004.

His management of the Indians ticket operations spanned the final nine seasons at Bush Stadium and the first eight seasons at Victory Field. He formed strong bonds with Indians staff as well as season ticket holders. "Schneid" will always be remembered for his lively sense of humor and his commitment to his wife and three children.

All proceeds from the golf outing, including sponsorships, benefit the Schneider Family Fund which aids in funding the Schneider children's educational costs.

Foursomes play eighteen holes, shot gun style. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $200. Foursomes available for $425, individual registrations are $125.
