Little Red Door Cancer Agency is teaming up with St. Thomas Clinic and Esperanza en Jesucristo to provide free breast health education and free clinical breast exams for women in the community. Women who qualify will also be enrolled on-site into Little Red Door’s Mammography Assistance Program for free mammograms. The event will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 600 Paul Hand Blvd. (County Road 400 North- off of US 31), Franklin, IN. Women in their 20s and 30s should receive clinical breast exams about every 3 years and women over age 40 should receive a breast exam every year. All American Horse Classic
The All-American Horse Classic will be held at the Pepsi Coliseum beginning Wednesday morning, September 8, and continuing through Saturday September 11. This annual event, regarded as Indiana’s premier horse show, will feature over 750 beautiful American Saddlebred horses and Hackney Ponies competing for over $700,000 in national championships. Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm kicks off the excitement with the All-American Cup Competition.. Up to 80 of the nation’s top American Saddlebred babies compete for a record purse of over $185,000 for the coveted All American Cup. A live orchestra adds a special touch to this one of a kind evening. Wednesday morning begins the traditional horse show, with classes featuring both adult and juvenile riders. The sessions continue each morning and each evening. Friday evening and all day Saturday will focus on championship events and national titles. An annual motorcycle trek that takes bikers from eastside Indianapolis through Brown County, the Hoosier National Forest, and back north to Greenwood. Registration for the 11th annual run begins at 9 am at First Church of the Nazarene, 9401 East 25th Street, just east of 25th Street and Post Road. Free homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice will be provided during registration. The ride begins at 10 am and ends around 5 pm. The finish line is Greenwood’s Southland Community Church, which will provide a free dinner to all riders at the run’s conclusion. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome, as are all levels of riders – beginners to veterans. The run will take riders from Indianapolis’ far-eastside south into Nashville, Indiana for a lunch break at the Artists’ Colony Inn (riders should bring money for lunch). After lunch the run will circle the Hoosier National Forest, stopping for a break on the shore of Monroe Reservoir. Riders then head north to Greenwood in anticipation of that free dinner at Southland Community Church. Cost: minimum contribution of $30 per rider is suggested Registration Required by September 2 Benefits: benefits the James Jensen Memorial Scholarship Program, established by Mr. Jensen’s son, Larry, a southside Indianapolis resident. The program provides education for seminary students at the Theological Seminary in Quito, Ecuador.

Community Day at The Flip Zone
The Flip Zone is a gymnastics, cheer & martial arts facility in Plainfield, Indiana. We are having a Community Day at our facility to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Our gym will be participating in the Tyson Fitness Challenge sponsored by USA Gymnastics with all pledges and/or donations benefiting the Children's Miracle Network. This is in conjunction with National Gymnastics Day which is September 18th. We will also have booths with local vendors set up in our parking lot. All of the booth rental fees will also be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network. We will have gymnastics, cheer and martial arts demonstrations and all children are welcome to take advantage of our open gym session to "try-out" the equipment and bounce in our bounce house. Food will be available for purchase. Everyone who signs in will be provided a goody bag and be registered in our door prize drawings and for a grand prize. Our Community Day is an event for The Flip Zone to show our appreciation for our community support through the years.

Second Annual Chili Cook-Off and Silent Auction
The Interchurch Food Pantry of Johnson County will be celebrating it's Second Annual Chili Cook-Off and Silent Auction on Sunday, September 19, 4:00-7:00 PM at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church, 3100 W. Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood off of State Road 135. The cost of admission is $5.00 per adult, $3.00 children ages 10-17 and free under age 10. Donors will have the opportunity to sample homemade chili from a variety of competitors and bid on the silent Auction items. The Chili Cook-Off winner will be decided by voting with your change and dollars. The Silent Auction will feature gift baskets containing: golf outings, restaurants gift cards, jewelry store gift cards, car products, spa visits, skin care products and holiday baskets. On Monday, September 27th would you rather spend the day stuck at your desk, or out on the picturesque River Glen Country Club golf course golfing with the Indianapolis Indians front office staff, Indians sponsors, fans and friends.

Even easier answer - the annual outing is for a cause near to the Indians' hearts. Mike Schneider was a member of the Indianapolis Indians front office staff for 17 seasons until his sudden passing at age 42 in August 2004.

His management of the Indians ticket operations spanned the final nine seasons at Bush Stadium and the first eight seasons at Victory Field. He formed strong bonds with Indians staff as well as season ticket holders. "Schneid" will always be remembered for his lively sense of humor and his commitment to his wife and three children.

All proceeds from the golf outing, including sponsorships, benefit the Schneider Family Fund which aids in funding the Schneider children's educational costs.

Foursomes play eighteen holes, shot gun style. Sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $200. Foursomes available for $425, individual registrations are $125.
