Kenny Rogers will commentate his 50 years in show business with a special television broadcast that will feature musical and comedy performances, and in 3-D.
Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years will include appearances by friends such as Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie and Alison Krauss, who will all lend a hand in honoring the 71-year-old country legend.
"When this was first proposed to me as a 50-year celebration, something about that sounded final, and I didn't want that, so I suggested we call it The First 50 Years," Rogers said.
Rogers and friends will tape the special at the MGM Grand on February 11, with the show set to broadcast on April 10.
